New Years Resolution

It’s the New Year and the time when everyone thinks about making New Year resolutions!

Most people’s resolutions focus on diet and fitness resulting in new diets to try and remove the sluggishness and the few pounds put on over the festive period but how often do we hear about making changes that can improve our mental wellbeing?

Of course losing weight and fitness is linked to mental health wellbeing but why not set separate ones for your mental health?

– Perhaps it’s to be better organised?
– Making sure you take that all important lunch break?
– To declutter at home or work?
– To spend more time with family?
– To focus on this things you like doing?

For me I recognise that its all too easy to get wrapped up in work and not take a break.

Research has shown that even taking a small break (say 15 mins) away from the laptop/phone leaves us more refreshed and actually more productive.

Sometimes if you leave something for that time you come back to it again and think another more effective way of doing it.

Something to think about….

I’m going to start by a lunch break 30 mins each day for a month and see what happens..I will update at the end of January how its gone.
