Product Description

Introduction
The Department for Education (DfE) published extensive guidance for schools and colleges in relation to security.

The guidance stresses the need for schools and colleges to have in place specific policies and plans to manage any incidents relating to security including lockdown. The aim is for these policies to complement existing safeguarding measures already in place. These security risks will be different for each school and may include; fire, arson, cyber-threat, violence, drugs etc and will need to be assessed.

In addition to the designated safeguarding lead, the guidance also advises appointing a lead person responsible for health & safety and security.
